Default Best e/me farming build??

hey I made an e/me awhile back and I'm just about to head into the south shiverpeaks. My frist character was a r/n so I had never really been able to farm. I made this character knowing I wasn't going to be able to farm like a w/mo and a mo/w, but I liked the dmg an e/me gave out. I'm having trouble though. I can't seem to find a build to farm with. If you guys could help by tellign me the right skills and where to put my att. points, I'd be much obliged!

Lol, I just came up with this. I don't know it'll work, but if anything it's humorous...

Fire 12 + 1 + hat
Energy Storage 10 + 1
Channeling ? [I forgot this value :O]

Meteor Shower
Fire Storm
Lava Font / Flame Burst
Arcane Echo
Aura of Restoration
Channeling
Signet of Midnight / Ineptitude
Epidemic
[lol 3 unlinked skills...]

You cannot farm with an ele/mes effectivbely i suggest you change your secondary to monk and use the prot bond/essence bond/bal spirit/zealot/divine/ether renewal/bal aura/sow trick with 16in energy storage , 12smiting, 3prot

Just because it doesn't have Mo doesn't mean it can't farm effectively.

The first farming video I saw was a Fire Ele stacking AoE. My build was not a serious suggestion, but an example of how to farm: you need a source of damage and a way to heal or prevent damage. Damage is done through first drawing a mob, then stacking AoE spells. Channeling reduces the cost of spells. Epidemic is hard to use properly; try backing up to draw the enemies from around you to next to each other. Aura of Restoration will heal you.

Don't let naysayers fool you; you can farm effectively with most builds if you choose your targets carefully. Screw around with your own class combination before giving up.

I use my e/me to farm, she is actually better at it then my memo is. Although, when linen and plant fibers were selling for 300gp is when I made a true fortune with my memo. Anyways... E/me can farm just great in selected areas. One area I farm routinely is the magno hydra out infront of ember light camp. I can take 9 or so at one time with a little work.

Another area is the ice imps out infront of marhan's grotto, but personally I find the hydra better since they will run close to you to use inferno while the imps tend to stay spread out if you dont drag them together.

On a side note, the drops in this game seem to me to be very random. I can get a +10 health upgrade from a level 20 plus monster drop and a +28 health upgrade from a level 14 monster drop. So far as I've noticed anyway.

Riverside is also a viable option for a E/me. The psychopants (mesmers) there can give you a hard time, but everything else in that quest are fair game. With all the justicar around there and their armor, I feel there are better places for a E/me to be.

This guy Tevash Szat doesn't know what he is talking about. There are dozens of different monster types in this game, all of them using different abilities. Any class combination can achieve a good build against any specific type of monster in any given area. Which is not to say one class will be 100% effective in all areas of this game, but that there are selected places where each class can and will be successful with enough thought into skill/spell combination.

Use Mist Form {E}, that's the key to most ele farming builds.

Here's what I did to make 200k with my E/Me in 1 day:

12+4fire
8+1water
rest in ES

Bar:
Arcane Echo
Mist Form
Windbourne Speed
Lavafont
Firestorm
MeteorShower
AuraOfRestoration
FireAttunement

Where: Griffons.

How:
Run out of the west exit of Augury rock. Use windbourne speed to get by rockshots, only pop it during their dust trap cast (they seem to do this the very moment they engage). Use it, also, to lose Minotaur aggro. Hug the left wall as you go, until you meet the first griffon group of 4. Pop Aura, Attunement, ArcaneEcho, run up and aggro the 1st group. Go and aggro the next group, as soon as 2nd group is aggro, wait until they close melee range. Pop Mist Form, meteor shower, firestorm, lavafont, pop echo-mistform, spam firestorm like 3 more times. Collect Items. Wait for energy and exhaust, proceed to next group.

If things go wrong, and they're not all dead by the time your 2nd MistForm is over, your first one will have recharged. Use that and windbourne speed to get away, or stick around and nuke some more.

As far as damage goes, lavafont is rather economical. It's about 25 damage times 5, in a cast recast area effect.
